Growing up, Ernie raced motorcycles and even raced with actor and avid racer Steve McQueen. Ernie worked as a motorcycle stunt double in several Hollywood films including Bruce Brown's "On Any Sunday," "Full Throttle"and he played the German soldier who crashed into a fence in "The Great Escape." Ernie was inducted into the Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2002 and is a member of motorcycle club "Early Riders," in which Jay Leno is also a member.
A staple of Pasadena's Doo-Dah Parade, Ernie leads the parade in full costume as "The Devil." In this photo, Ernie rides his antique cycle with his antique truck that he built himself. In September 2008, Ernie Aragon received a resolution from the Senate at the California Capitol in Sacramento, CA recognizing his accomplishments and community involvement.
